Grownup Christmas List

こないだの英語の時間にGrownup Christmas Listというクリスマスソングを聞きました。
素敵な歌だなぁと思ったので、勝手に紹介したいと思います

ばーって歌詞書いてみたけどちょっとわかりづらいですよね

Christmas listというのは子どもたちが自分のほしいものを書いたリストのことなんですが、
これは自分のためのものなんですね。
ですが、大人になって書くChristmas listというのは自分のために書くものではなく、
世界の愛や平和、正義を願って書かれるもの、
つまり自分以外の人のためのものなんだとこの歌はうたっているんですね。

で、この歌はなにが言いたいのかというと、
クリスマスは何かを「求める日」ではなく自分が何かを「与える日」なんだということなんです
そしてその何かはモノではなく気持ちとか願いとかでもいいんです
それってなんだか素敵なことだと思いませんか??

クリスマスにはつい「プレゼントほしいなぁ」とか思ってしまいますが、
求めるばかりじゃなく、みんなに暖かい気持ちを与えることのできるような人になりたいですね
